Human Head Sculpting

This video will take you through a time lapse of the development for the character Middle Eye from Apocalypto. We will start off by analyzing reference imagery and how to properly use it.  Along with this we'll discuss the positives and negatives of using still images.  From there we'll move to the time lapse sculpting process which will be taken up to 4 subdivision levels.  Polishing and high frequency detail will not be covered in this video, a separate video will be made for detail work. The goal of this is to focus on the overall look and feel for the character.
